Do you have a problem if I say God is neither He nor She nor It? Remember only created things have to fit into these scales not its CREATOR.
My God created the masculinity and femininity. My God created the man and the woman and He is not a man or a woman.
Both man and woman have their own disadvantages..and my God has no such minus points. HE IS PERFECT!
You may ask now, then why do you call Allah as ‘He’? This is an excellent question actually 🙂
” Say: He is Allah, the One and Only” [AlQur’aan Chapter ‘Sincerity’ 112:1]
You may think, “Aaah! This is very familier to me, Muslims quote it everywhere” It may be familier, but most mankind dont practice it, THAT’S THE PROBLEM.
Ok let’s get back to our topic, The word ‘He’ in arabic is ‘huwa’, as you can see in the box ‘هو’
You should know, every word in arabic is either masculine or faminine! Everything including this laptop, which is masculine in arabic. There is no ‘it’ in arabic.
For example, ‘هو رجل’ ‘huwa rajul’ means ‘He is a man’. ‘هو قلم’ ‘huwa qalam’ means ‘It is a pen’.
God chose Arabic and He uses the words which we have in Arabic. He chose ‘هو’ for Himself. So we say ‘هو’. God didnt say He is a man or with some actual gender. So we refrain from imagining Him as a ‘MAN’ or ‘WOMAN’, got it?
And it is very logical if you sit back and think! I just dont want a Man God or a Woman God. I just want a God who created the man and woman. And the reality is I have Him.
And at last, we write ‘He’ while using God but we dont make Him a man in His physic.
So is God He or She or It? No GOD IS GOD. *smile* *stop* *think*
Hot Hot topics are in arrival 🙂 Can God have parents, children or families?
This happens because we don’t have proper understanding of ‘Who is God?’
Just because some one says, He is a God we shouldn’t believe in it.
We should examine, analyse, get convinced and then believe in it.
For me, God needs to fulfill certain requirements.. ofcourse there should be some qualifications.
Afterall to be a manager in a company, you need some abilities. To be THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE, He needs some abilities too.
Now I will tell you, what kind of requirements I list for God.
He should have all powers, all allll powers. He should be able to create, protect and destroy.
I don’t believe in the concept of one God for creation (Brahma), one God for protection (Vishnu) and one God for destruction (Shiva).
Why can’t a creating God protect? Why can’t a protecting God destroy? A God should have all powers.
(For those who don’t know who are Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva they are God’s’ of Hinduism. Majority say they are 3 different Gods and some say it is one God in 3 forms).
If God gives something, no one should be able to take it back, except Him. If He takes away something, no one should be able to give it.
If God gives something and other takes it away, this means the former one has failed. My God will NEVER FAIL.
This may seem a simple requirement but this is very important. If My God takes away my life, no one should be able to give it back, except Him.
If God creates something, no one should be able to create the same thing. If My God created this sun, no one should be able to create another sun.
If I can make the same dish with same quality which you had made, then you are no special than me, why should I call you a great cook?!
You should be unbeatable! MY GOD SHOULD BE UNBEATABLE!
No one should be equal to my Lord. There should be a clear cut distinction between the CREATOR and the CREATIONS!
If I and my laptop looks the same, works the same (may be it works better than me! :D) then you won’t call me a human but a machine.
If the Creator and the creations are of the same look, same qualities then I won’t call Him a Creator but just another creation.
This is very important; whatever God says should over come time! It should have no time limit. It should be applicable in all times, in all areas.
The reason is apparent isn’t it? If what God says is inapplicable, you are not going to agree with Him. Are you?
So it should be logical and APPLICABLE!
Only if, ONLY IF one fulfills all these requirements I will call Him a God and I will worship Him..
Good news! We do have a God who fulfills this and much more!
Wanna know how?
Say, ” Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Prevailing.” [AlQur’aan last part of 13:16]
“And your Lord creates whatever He wills and chooses; they have no choice (in any matter). Exalted is Allah and High above all that they associate as partners (with Him).” [AlQur’aan 28:68]
“Say, “Who is it that can protect you from Allah if He intends for you an ill or intends for you a mercy?” And they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or any helper.” [AlQur’aan 33:17]
“And your Lord would not have destroyed the cities unjustly while their people were reformers.” [AlQur’aan 11:117]
“Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy – none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds – none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.” [AlQur’aan 35:2]
“Such is the Creation of Allah: now show Me what is there, that others besides Him have created: nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error.” [AlQur’aan 31:11]
“There is certainly nothing like Him. He is All-hearing and All-aware.” [AlQur’aan last part of 42:11]
You can’t get an one line answer for this. You need to read more to get it. Especially read ‘Our’ Lord’s Final Revelation AlQur’aan AlKareem, a book where there is no doubt.
“That is the Book, where there is no doubt, a guidance to the God fearing” [2:2]
