God or Gods?

God or Gods?

We came to know that there is a God and everything is not God. Now the question comes, “How many Gods are there?”

“One, two, three? Hundred? Thousand? 33 million thousand?”

Well… majority of mankind believe in ONE GOD. As I have said, a God should not be deprived of anything. He should have all qualities.

When a God has all qualities, there is no need for another God. Isn’t it?

90% Religions say there is only ONE GOD.

Many people believe in ONE GOD. But they worship MANY GODS!!

For example, if we look at Hinduism (the most apparent multi God religion!)

1.Chandogya Upanishad Chapter 6 Section 2 verse 1

“Ekam Evadvitiyam”

“He is one only without a second.”

(The Principal Upanishad by S. Radhakrishnan pg. 447 & 448)

(Sacred Books of the East Volume 1, the Upanishads Part I Page 93)

2. Shwetashvatara Upanishad Chapter 6 verse 9

 “Nacasya kascij janita na cadhipah”

“Of Him there are neither parents nor Lord.”

(The Principal Upanishad by S. Radhakrishnan pg. 745)

(and in Sacred books of the East volume 15, the Upanishads Part II Page 263)

3. Bhagwad Geeta 10:3

“He, who knows Me as the unborn, as the beginning-less, as the Supreme Lord of all the worlds…”

4. BRAHMA SUTRA OF HINDU VEDANTA

‘Ekam Brahm, dvitiya naste neh na naste kinchan”

“There is only one God, not the second, not at all, not at all, not in the least bit”.

There are many verses in the Hinduism Scriptures saying that there is ONLY ONE GOD. And we should worship Him alone.

Unfortunately, when we ask a common Hindu today, He will say there are many Gods, may be 3 or 100 or 1000 or 33000000. (??!!)

My Hindu Readers! Read your Scriptures carefully… you will find that there is ONLY ONE GOD.

Christianity & Judiasm:

The Bible does not support the Christian belief in trinity at all.

One of the scribes once asked Jesus (pbuh) as to which was the first commandment of all, to which Jesus (pbuh) merely repeated what Moses (pbuh) had said earlier:

“Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adonai Ikhad.”

This is a Hebrew quotation, which means:

“Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord.”
[The Bible (King James Version), Mark 12:29]

It is striking that the basic teachings of the Church such as Trinity and vicarious atonement find no mention in the Bible.

Concept of God in Testement:

The following verse from the book of Deuteronomy contains an exhortation from Moses (pbuh):

“Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adna Ikhad”.

It is a Hebrew quotation which means:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord”
[The Bible, Deuteronomy 6:4]

Unity of God in Book of Isaiah:

The following verses are from the Book of Isaiah:

(i) “I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.”
[The Bible, Isaiah 43:11]

(ii) “I am Lord, and there is none else, there is no God besides me.”
[The Bible, Isaiah 45:5]

(iii) “I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.”
[The Bible, Isaiah 46:9]

But unfortunately uuuunfortunately, today many Christians are worshipping more than ONE GOD. Jesus (Peace be upon Him), Mary (May Allah be pleased with her) and many many so-called Saints.

My Christian and Jewish Readers!

Belief in one God is not just enough for us! We should worship Him alone..!! He deserves our worship, ONLY He deserves our worship!!

Buddishm:

Buddha was silent about the existence or non-existence of God. It may be that since India was drowned in idol worship and anthropomorphism that a sudden step to monotheism would have been drastic and hence Buddha may have chosen to remain silent on the issue of God.

HE DID NOT DENY THE EXISTENCE OF GOD!!

But this was not enough for the cravings of human beings. THEY TOOK A GOD OUT OF BUDDHA!!

Many scholars consider the evolution of God within Buddhism as an effect of Hinduism. Many Buddhists adopted the local god and thus the religion of ‘No-God’ was transformed into the religion of ‘Many-Gods’ – big and small, strong and weak and male and female.

Sikhism:

Mulmantra: The fundamental Creed of Sikhism says,

Sri Guru Granth Sahib, volume 1 Japuji, the first verse:

“There exists but one God, who is called The True, The Creator, Free from fear and hate, Immortal, Not begotten, Self-Existent, Great and Compassionate.”

It believes in strict monotheism!

Zoroastrianism:

God in Zoroastrianism is known as ‘Ahura Mazda’. ‘Ahura’ means ‘the Lord’ or ‘The Master’ and ‘Mazda’ means ‘the Wise’; hence ‘Ahura Mazda’ means ‘the Wise Lord’ or ‘the Wise God’. Ahura Mazda stands for God, in a strictly monotheistic sense.

According to the Dasatir, Ahura Mazda has the following qualities:

  • He is One.

  • He is without an origin or end.

  • He has no father or mother, wife or son.

  • He is without a body or form.

  • Nothing resembles Him.

  • Neither the eye can behold Him, nor the power of thinking can conceive him.

  • He is above all that you can imagine.

  • He is nearer to you than your own self.

So majority of mankind (may be all of them!) believe in ONE GOD ONLY. But they err in worshipping Him.

Thinking that they are worshipping the ONE GOD… actually they are worshipping something OTHER THAN GOD!!

Why is this happening?

What should be the requirements of a GOD?

WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW !!

Stop0think!

[…] We have no idea what date J.C. was ‘born’, if a virgin birth can be interpreted as being somehow naturally born. The 25th of December is a pure invention on the part of the Christian Church – even the exact year is uncertain. The so-called ‘Star of Bethlehem’ is of little use. Despite speculation that the ‘star’ was a conjunction of two or more stellar and/or planetary objects, the ‘star’ would still resolve itself into two or more points of light, even though apparently Further you can see this related post: http://homebizharmonyblog.wordpress.com/2011/04/02/it-takes-two-to-tango-thats-the-point/ Also you can read this related blog page: http://jasonscorner.wordpress.com/2011/04/01/religion-taking-it-all-back-part-1/ Also you can take a look at this related read: http://sedentarioseociosos.wordpress.com/2011/04/02/dica-de-livro-eram-os-deuses-astronautas/ Also you can take a look at this related read: http://aucoeurdularue.wordpress.com/2011/04/02/huecco-pensando-en-tus-ojos/ Also you can take a look at this related read: http://prayerdoves.wordpress.com/2011/04/02/our-mission-at-jesus-in-me/ Related to this you can read: http://lewiscrusade.wordpress.com/2011/04/02/hour-of-mercy-thirty-days-prayer-to-mary-2/ Additionally you can check out: http://50kpgs.com/2011/04/02/satpmconf/ Additionally you can check out: https://stop0think.wordpress.com/2011/04/04/god-or-gods/ […]
