Is Ka’ba an Idol?

Is Ka’ba an idol?

When I say Idol worshipping is wrong, people tend to defend themselves saying, “Oh yeah! Even you people worship an idol?”
“Whaat? What are you talking about? We are the ones who say NO IDOL WORSHIPPING!”

“Hmm..then what’s that black big idol you prostate to?”
“Why do you want to pray in a fixed direction?”

“Wow! what a legitimate question :)”
“You have the right to ask such questions and I appreciate them too!”
“Ask more questions so that you get more clarifications!”

This is the most common, popular, famous, blah blah blah whatever u say, question they ask.

Yusha Evens (ex-Christian) once said that when he realized the faults in Christianity, he started reading about other religions. He went to a library, and got a book named ‘All about Islaam’ (Pretty much attractive isn’t it?). He started reading n reading. You know what he read there? “Muslims are one who worship a black cubid in the middle of a desert!! (loooooooool :D:D:D:D). They kill the non-muslims wherever they find (erm..handsup i’m gonna shoot you hehe :D)”

He got scared and said “O my God! Thanks I didn’t see a Muslim yet” (Oh! poor boy :D)

This went along few days. And one fine day, he started chatting with his friend (I don’t know whether he was a close friend or a newbee). While chatting, that ‘friend’ asked him, “Do you know anything about Islaam?”.
He said, “Oh Yeah! I KNOW EVERYTHING!!”. (??!!)

“Okey! What do you think about it?”
“They worship a black cube. They kill whomever they see.”

I guess that friend should have laughed till his heart because I did it when I heard this.
He asked, “What do you think about me?”
“Well, you are a nice person”.
“I am a Muslim.”
“WHAT?”
“I am a Muslim!”

He should have immediately realized that what he read in the book must be a manifest error, because he see his friend would never kill him. He started learning about Islam, from a ‘practicing’ Muslim and guess what HE IS A MUSLIM NOW! WORKING SERIOUSLY TO SPREAD THE MESSAGE TO OTHERS!

I know this is a bit off topic, but for those who wish to see his conversion story listen to this ‘How Bible brought me to Islam’:

I said all these things because, don’t judge Islam through some idiotic ill mannered books which try to cover the burning sun. Ask a Muslim directly or go to a masjid near your place to learn about it!

Okey lets get back to the actual question.

a) Is Ka’ba an idol??

Lemme give you the difference between the ka’ba and an idol.

Ka’ba is a building. It stands upon a 25 cm (10 in) base, which projects outwards about 35 cm (14 in). It is approximately 13.1 m (43 ft) high, with sides measuring 11.03 m (36.2 ft) by 12.86 m (42.2 ft).

Ka’ba is the first masjid build on the face of earth, to worship God.

“Indeed, the first House [of worship] established for mankind was that at (Becca) Makkah – blessed and a guidance for the worlds.” [AlQur’aan Chapter ‘The family of Imran’ 3:96]

People prayed inside the ka’ba. Are you ready to pray inside your idol? That’s impossible isn’t it?

Bilal (radhi allahu anhu) the mu’adhin (caller for prayer) of the Prophet’s time used to STAND ON THE TOP OF THE KA’BA, to call people for prayer.

I BET ANYONE CAN DO THE SAME TO YOUR IDOL???
YOU STAND ON IT’S TOP? YOU DARE PUT YOUR LEG ON IT?

We did, BECAUSE IT’S NOT OUR GOD!!!

b) What about the black stone, you kiss it?

Okey, you say it’s an idol, just because we kiss it? Then I will quote the statement of Caliph Umar bin AlKhattaab (radhi allahu anhu), the one to whom Shaitaan feared.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 26, Number 675:

Narrated Zaid bin Aslam from his father who said:

“Umar bin Al-Khattab addressed the Corner (black stone) saying, ‘By Allah! I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit nor harm. Had I not seen the Prophet touching (and kissing) you, I would never have touched (and kissed) you.’ Then he kissed it and said, ‘There is no reason for us to do Ramal (in Tawaf) except that we wanted to show off before the pagans, and now Allah has destroyed them.‘ ‘Umar added, ‘(Nevertheless), the Prophet did that and we do not want to leave it (i.e. Ramal).’

You can get 3 solutions from this narration:

1) The Black Stone in itself doesn’t possess any power. It can’t benefit it can’t harm.
(I don’t think you believe your idol does not possess any power?)

2) They did that during the pagans time, to show-off that they too are powerful now. (You should read the entire history to know the atrocities of the pagans and how much they belittled their own people just because they said MY GOD IS ONE!)

3) We would never touch the stone except that Prophet (Peace be upon him) had done it.

Personally I am saying, when I go to Makkah I don’t touch the stone. It’s so crowd there.  AND IT’S NOTHING WRONG IF YOU DONT TOUCH IT AND KISS IT! YOU KISS IT, YOU DON’T KISS IT..IT’S ALL THE SAME!!

BECAUSE THE BLACK STONE IS NOT OUR GOD!!!

c) Why do you pray in a fixed direction?

Since all your claims went futile, you are picking up on directions now?!

I don’t see how praying towards ka’ba becomes an idol for you?
NOTE: We pray TOWARDS Ka’ba and not TO ka’ba.

(I guess you will not say the same to your idol, because you clearly know YOU ARE PRAYING TO THAT IDOL).

Praying towards a fixed direction, in rows and rows is an excellent way of organizing us. Lots of people converted to Islaam, just after they saw the prayer of Muslims in person. DO YOU KNOW THAT?
They wonder what an excellent system of prayer is this!!! You all are equal in front of your Lord, no matter white or black, rich or poor!

(Remember: What you see here is the top of the 3rd floor. The 1st and 2nd floors inside the masjid have been already filled!! And you will see people praying in the road if you are blessed being there. I wish you will get to go there one day, as a believer submitted to Him alone)

Actually, first God ordered us to pray towards Masjidul Aqsa in Jerusalem, and then the direction order came to Ka’ba.
If we worshiped direction as a God, we wouldn’t be changing directions here n there. But we simply do it BECAUSE IT’S THE ORDER OF GOD!

Hey, even if there is no ka’ba WE WOULD STILL BE PRAYING TO OUR LORD in an uniform way.
ARE YOU READY TO WORSHIP Y(OUR) GOD, WITHOUT AN IDOL???

d) See this picture, isn’t it a ‘shiva lingam’? (A shiva lingam is an idol of one of the Gods of Hinduism)

Hahahahaha.. this is one of the most funniest thing I had ever came around. 😀 😀 😀 😀

Its not shiva lingam or any other idol, it’s called ‘Makaam AlIbraahim’ meaning the place of Prophet Abraham (Peace be upon him).

Look at the close picture of that.

I think I don’t need to explain anymore, this picture speaks for itself!

Just because you see something ovel shaped, THAT BECOMES YOUR GOD?

What can I say about your foolishness? Its a gold coated glass my dear.

I know you are biting your tongue!

ISLAAM IS THE RELIGION WHICH SAYS, STOP IDOLATRY AND COME TO WORSHIP OF ONE TRUE GOD!

Actually there were 360 idols inside ka’ba, BEFORE THE PRE-ISLAMIC PERIOD. Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) destroyed all the idols and said, “WORSHIP BELONGS TO THE ONLY ONE GOD!!”

Till date, there is not even a single idol inside the entire city of Makkah and Madinah. BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!

Next thinking –> Is God He or She or It?

Replies to ‘Idolators’!

Replies to Idolators:
As we saw earlier, idol worshiping is not favored by most of the religions. After all they are condemning it. But wherever you go, you see people worshiping created things (idols) as if they are worshiping the GOD.

The most common excuse they have is, “It’s hard to worship the unseen God.

“So, this allows you to worship something other than God?”
“Why is it hard for you when it is not hard for ‘billions’ of people?”

Another thing they say is, “God is present everywhere. Everything is God. We worship God through His creations”.

“Whoa! Worshipping God through His creations? Why do you need this ‘through’? It doesn’t seem logical?
Why can’t you worship God directly?
And again as I have said earlier in the post ‘Is Everything God?’ we can conclude “Everything is God’s” and everything is NOT God.

Anyways, worshiping the Creations doesn’t mean you worship the Creator. It simply means, ‘You worship the Creations‘!”. [And you know that’s wrong]

Again they say, “No no, it’s not the stone we worship. Its God present inside the stone”.

“This is another version of the previous question. God can never be inside a stone which is one of His creations”

“You see, we don’t worship all stones, only special kind of stones. Also gold, silver, brass”.

“You are in a very dangerous position you know. You are more special than a gold or a silver or a brass, aren’t you? So we worship YOU?

What is the authenticity of your practices? If we read your scriptures we find exactly the opposite. So where do you get these things from? From some stupid man or from God?”

“Ok fine, idol worship has no basis in our religion, its wrong. But.. common people can’t worship God without an image. It helps to focus our concentration. When we get trained we don’t need that image. Like in school, in 1st grade you have an idol but when you finish your final grade you don’t need an idol”.

“That’s good atleast you realize its wrong.

Just because a layman cannot worship God without an image, is it ok for him to worship something other than God?

To focus our concentration, there are numerous things we can do, but an idol can never help you. Infact it leads to destruction.

How many people know what they are worshipping is not God?
How many people know they have been cheated n cheated for centuries saying that this is their God?

And coming back to the school :D,
You will not teach your child something wrong in 1st grade and then say he will be corrected later. Would you teach him 2+2=3 in 1st grade and then say its 4 in his final class? Ofcourse not!

Then why would you do this to God, the very most important thing in life?
How many people really reach that final stage?
They die in that evil state worshipping a stone, believing it to be the God for all their life. Its sorrowful.”

{Idol worship, the nearest analogy I can provide you is like calling someone else as one’s father, while his real father is another person. Rejection of one’s father and attributing this very honorable position to another person is a very disgraceful, abominable and disgusting thing any human being will think of doing.

The only one true God is the Creator, Sustainer, Cherisher and Provider. It is He only deserves our worship.

If we make idols of human beings, animals and other created objects, for the purpose of worship, my simple question is, do we earn the Blessings or the Wrath of God?

This is the unpardonable sin any human being can commit. The seriousness of this sin will not equal the analogy provided above.} [1]

Lets get rid of such sins, stop0think!

Birds need YOU!

12 Apr

Summer is here and its going to be equally harsh to the animals / Birds  around us.

Kindly do your tiny bit by keeping a bowl of fresh water out side your balcony or garden.

Hadith – Bukhari 4:538, Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Last Messenger (sal Allaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said, “A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it. So, Allah forgave her because of that.”

God or Gods?

4 Apr

God or Gods?

We came to know that there is a God and everything is not God. Now the question comes, “How many Gods are there?”

“One, two, three? Hundred? Thousand? 33 million thousand?”

Well… majority of mankind believe in ONE GOD. As I have said, a God should not be deprived of anything. He should have all qualities.

When a God has all qualities, there is no need for another God. Isn’t it?

90% Religions say there is only ONE GOD.

Many people believe in ONE GOD. But they worship MANY GODS!!

For example, if we look at Hinduism (the most apparent multi God religion!)

1.Chandogya Upanishad Chapter 6 Section 2 verse 1

“Ekam Evadvitiyam”

“He is one only without a second.”

(The Principal Upanishad by S. Radhakrishnan pg. 447 & 448)

(Sacred Books of the East Volume 1, the Upanishads Part I Page 93)

2. Shwetashvatara Upanishad Chapter 6 verse 9

 “Nacasya kascij janita na cadhipah”

“Of Him there are neither parents nor Lord.”

(The Principal Upanishad by S. Radhakrishnan pg. 745)

(and in Sacred books of the East volume 15, the Upanishads Part II Page 263)

3. Bhagwad Geeta 10:3

“He, who knows Me as the unborn, as the beginning-less, as the Supreme Lord of all the worlds…”

4. BRAHMA SUTRA OF HINDU VEDANTA

‘Ekam Brahm, dvitiya naste neh na naste kinchan”

“There is only one God, not the second, not at all, not at all, not in the least bit”.

There are many verses in the Hinduism Scriptures saying that there is ONLY ONE GOD. And we should worship Him alone.

Unfortunately, when we ask a common Hindu today, He will say there are many Gods, may be 3 or 100 or 1000 or 33000000. (??!!)

My Hindu Readers! Read your Scriptures carefully… you will find that there is ONLY ONE GOD.

Christianity & Judiasm:

The Bible does not support the Christian belief in trinity at all.

One of the scribes once asked Jesus (pbuh) as to which was the first commandment of all, to which Jesus (pbuh) merely repeated what Moses (pbuh) had said earlier:

“Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adonai Ikhad.”

This is a Hebrew quotation, which means:

“Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord.”
[The Bible (King James Version), Mark 12:29]

It is striking that the basic teachings of the Church such as Trinity and vicarious atonement find no mention in the Bible.

Concept of God in Testement:

The following verse from the book of Deuteronomy contains an exhortation from Moses (pbuh):

“Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adna Ikhad”.

It is a Hebrew quotation which means:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord”
[The Bible, Deuteronomy 6:4]

Unity of God in Book of Isaiah:

The following verses are from the Book of Isaiah:

(i) “I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.”
[The Bible, Isaiah 43:11]

(ii) “I am Lord, and there is none else, there is no God besides me.”
[The Bible, Isaiah 45:5]

(iii) “I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.”
[The Bible, Isaiah 46:9]

But unfortunately uuuunfortunately, today many Christians are worshipping more than ONE GOD. Jesus (Peace be upon Him), Mary (May Allah be pleased with her) and many many so-called Saints.

My Christian and Jewish Readers!

Belief in one God is not just enough for us! We should worship Him alone..!! He deserves our worship, ONLY He deserves our worship!!

Buddishm:

Buddha was silent about the existence or non-existence of God. It may be that since India was drowned in idol worship and anthropomorphism that a sudden step to monotheism would have been drastic and hence Buddha may have chosen to remain silent on the issue of God.

HE DID NOT DENY THE EXISTENCE OF GOD!!

But this was not enough for the cravings of human beings. THEY TOOK A GOD OUT OF BUDDHA!!

Many scholars consider the evolution of God within Buddhism as an effect of Hinduism. Many Buddhists adopted the local god and thus the religion of ‘No-God’ was transformed into the religion of ‘Many-Gods’ – big and small, strong and weak and male and female.

Sikhism:

Mulmantra: The fundamental Creed of Sikhism says,

Sri Guru Granth Sahib, volume 1 Japuji, the first verse:

“There exists but one God, who is called The True, The Creator, Free from fear and hate, Immortal, Not begotten, Self-Existent, Great and Compassionate.”

It believes in strict monotheism!

Zoroastrianism:

God in Zoroastrianism is known as ‘Ahura Mazda’. ‘Ahura’ means ‘the Lord’ or ‘The Master’ and ‘Mazda’ means ‘the Wise’; hence ‘Ahura Mazda’ means ‘the Wise Lord’ or ‘the Wise God’. Ahura Mazda stands for God, in a strictly monotheistic sense.

According to the Dasatir, Ahura Mazda has the following qualities:

  • He is One.

  • He is without an origin or end.

  • He has no father or mother, wife or son.

  • He is without a body or form.

  • Nothing resembles Him.

  • Neither the eye can behold Him, nor the power of thinking can conceive him.

  • He is above all that you can imagine.

  • He is nearer to you than your own self.

So majority of mankind (may be all of them!) believe in ONE GOD ONLY. But they err in worshipping Him.

Thinking that they are worshipping the ONE GOD… actually they are worshipping something OTHER THAN GOD!!

Why is this happening?

What should be the requirements of a GOD?

WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW !!

Stop0think!
